Baila Capucha Collective”

Women from the “Baila Capucha” Collective pose with their red hoods to protect their identity due to fear of being imprisoned, discriminated or fired from work for participating in the protests held in the context of the social revolt against the neoliberal economic system and the government of Sebastián Piñera in Chile.

The Baila Capucha is a group of dissidents, self-organized women that dance with their faces covered by bright red and black hoods in order to remain anonymous and protect members while they express themselves by way of dance.

The feminist collectives in the protests of the social revolt played different roles. In addition to being at the heart of the changes demanded by women in terms of justice and work conditions, they also play a leading role in society.
