Sappho, the tenth goddess of art
Sappho was a seventh-century Greek poet. Sappho has been created since ancient times as the greatest lyric poet. She was the first woman to express, in addition to individual feelings, even the characteristics of the most emotions in poetry. His poetry has been very influential on his contemporaries, and during his lifetime he was not alone in his hometown, where it has been read and spoken much more.
Plato called her the tenth goddess of art. Most of the controversy surrounding him has been due to his homosexual tendencies. Sappho praises the love between women in his poems. [3] She is from the island of Lesbos, [4] which is why gay women today are called "lesbians".
