The antennae of Chrysodeixis includens are equipped with ultra-sensitive sensilla capable of detecting pheromones at extremely low concentrations, sometimes less than one molecule per billion. This olfactory ability allows males to locate females over several hundred meters, even in agricultural environments saturated with odors. Their sensory system rivals human chemical detection technologies.
