Baraka is a blind rhinoceros who has gone through severe hardships, losing one eye due to a collision with rivals and the other eye due to illness. These circumstances made his survival in the wild impossible and he was moved to the Ol Pejeta Nature Reserve Rehabilitation Center for safety and care, which became the only option for his continued existence.
At the center, Baraka adapted to life without vision and learned to interact with people and other animals. He is accustomed to humans and even makes contact, for example, accepting food from the hands of visitors and responding to their affection and care.
