From an early age, my dad told me that my name translates as art/beauty lover. I don`t know how much this influenced me, but I have always loved beauty and art, trying to make them a part of my life. By nature, people are artists. To my foundation was added an artistic heritage followed by continuous practice in the field of fine arts. From my father I`ve learned painting and byzantine iconography. Then, a long period of exploration followed, a period during which I discovered hyperrealism in painting, graphic and product design, and eventually photography. As a result, my knowledge in the other artistic fields all together have defined the photographic style that represents me today. I believe that a photograph depicts the means by which a goal is achieved. First and foremost, a photograph should communicate, tell a story, educate viewers, entertain them, express a feeling or a state of mind. I always build a photograph creatively not only with the eyes, but also with the mind, seeking for a new sense, a new point of view. I don`t necessarily want a photo to say a thousand words, but rather I want the photo to say more than it shows me, like an unforgettable memory. I feel true freedom when I create, when I manage to express my emotions and feelings through images. I love to shoot the subject and show it in a different way from how it actually appears, inventing another reality, a new perspective.
